- I wish you had seen what it was like in Kharkiv two, three years ago.

Or just two months ago.

There were amazing parks with green trees and birds.

We were happy there, says Eugenia.

Since the outbreak of the war, the city has been heavily occupied by Russian bombings.

Eugenia's parents have sent videos showing how the neighborhood where they live is in ruins.

Despite this, the parents have decided to stay.

However, Eugenia hopes that her former students, who are also still in Kharkiv, will be able to escape.

- Ukraine needs help now.

I want to meet my students and my family again.

I want them to survive.

They deserve it, says Eugenia Iaschchuk.
