Bert Karlsson says he acts as a consultant for the accommodation in Ekeberg outside Skara, and states that he already has 15 facilities that want to open to receive refugees, with a total of 5,000 places.

- But it takes time to start everything, among other things we have to arrange beds and food for everyone.

Earned millions on refugee housing

Via the company Jokarjo AB, Bert Karlsson has earned millions on refugee housing, including after the war in Syria.

Since then, several of the operations have been closed down, while others have been used as hotels or for other operations.

According to Bert Karlsson, the new accommodation, Stora Ekeberg, will accommodate 500 people and was also used as accommodation during the Syrian war.

Then, in 2014, alarms came from the residents about bed bugs.

- It has been available at all facilities.

It was people who brought them in.

How is the condition of the accommodation now?

- It is in good condition, we renovated it for many millions after the last time.

"Must start over from scratch"

The Swedish Migration Agency tells SVT that they have not yet signed any procurement agreements for new refugee accommodation.

Bert Karlsson also does not want to state which prices will be relevant for Stora Ekeberg.

But according to Karlsson, the costs for the Swedish Migration Board will be higher this time.

- Last time, the Swedish Migration Agency mismanaged the compensation enormously.

This time, they have put in money from the beginning to compensate for damage to the properties, for example.

- They're screaming for places.

But this time we have to start again from zero, or almost minus, says Bert Karlsson.
