It was found that the UN's aid to North Korea was also transported by North Korea-China freight train.

"More than 296,000 doses of the combined vaccine were transported via rail from China to North Korea in the last week of last month," a UNICEF spokesperson told Free Asia Broadcasting.

The combined vaccine is intended to prevent five diseases that are fatal to children, including diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenzae B, the spokesperson explained.

This is the first time the United Nations has sent aid to North Korea through the North Korea-China freight train, which resumed operation in January.

Health and nutritional support items that UNICEF brought to Nampo, North Korea in October last year were transported by sea.

On the other hand, unlike the combination vaccine, North Korea is not accepting the international community's support for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The international vaccine supply project 'Covax Facility' allocated 8.11 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to North Korea last year, but it was not brought in, and it is reported that they did not express their intention to accept 252,000 doses of Novavax vaccine in the US this year.
