According to Peskov, before the start of the special operation, at the direction of the president, all commanders of units of the Russian Armed Forces were instructed to categorically rule out the involvement of conscripts to perform any tasks on the territory of Ukraine.

At the same time, the head of state was reported on the implementation of this instruction.

It is noted that in connection with the revealed facts of the presence of a number of conscripts in parts of the Russian Armed Forces participating in a special operation in Ukraine, "on the instructions of the President of Russia, materials were sent to the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office to verify and legally assess the actions and punish officials responsible for failure to comply with this instruction" .

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, said that several facts of the presence of conscripts in parts of the Russian Armed Forces participating in a special operation in Ukraine were revealed.

According to him, almost all such servicemen have already been taken to Russian territory.

The Ministry of Defense reported that a number of servicemen, including conscripts, were captured as a result of an attack by a sabotage group of the Ukrainian national battalion on one of the units performing logistic support tasks.
