Latvia Sánchez visits the border with Russia: "Putin is alone and most of the world is with Ukraine"

The Government is firmly committed to the response that NATO and the European Union are giving to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and of which our country is a part.
Far from the frictions that have occurred in the heart of the Council of Ministers in recent days, the Executive emphasizes that unity, whether national or among allies, is "unbreakable", because this is the only strategy that guarantees "collective security".
And Spain's participation in the "deterrence and defense" operation against Russia, therefore, "is more necessary than ever."
This is how the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, has expressed herself, who this Wednesday appeared before the Defense Commission of the Congress of Deputies to report on the development of Spanish military operations in the different international missions in which she participates, with special emphasis in those related to the conflict with Russia.
Robles' words come a day after Pedro Sánchez visited the Spanish troops deployed in Latvia as part of the NATO dissuasion operation and advanced that Spain will support all the economic sanctions that the group of allies agrees against Russia, despite the consequences that this may entail for our country: "The cost would be greater if we did not act against Putin".
Robles has also opened the door for Spain to send more offensive material to Ukraine, despite the rejection that this generates in United We Can: "Within availability, if Ukraine needs it, we will send the material we have and that can help that heroic defense is being made by the Ukrainians," the minister said upon her arrival at Congress, in statements collected by Europa Press.
