It is a funny mishap that happened Tuesday morning to the wife of a delivery man from Valenciennes.

, on Tuesday around 5:30 a.m., a 38-year-old man tried to steal the car of a delivery man who was dropping off newspapers in the streets of Anzin, a town bordering Valenciennes.

Except that the thief didn't realize that the delivery man's wife was sitting in the back of the vehicle.

The man was drunk

After a hundred meters, he realizes his blunder and leaves to put the car back at the place where he had stolen it.

Except that the delivery man, obviously not happy, was waiting for him and a fight then broke out between the two men.

Arrested, the thief was alcoholic and tested positive for narcotics.

He was taken into custody for theft and drunk driving.

The story does not say if an ophthalmological follow-up was prescribed to him…
