The "We the Women" music festival, in which stars from around the world participated, drew the attention of visitors to "Expo 2020 Dubai" to issues related to women.

The festival witnessed on its second day, the day before yesterday, which was organized in the Celebration Park, as part of the activities to celebrate International Women's Day, in partnership with the Forum "Preserving Dignity in Storytelling", and the Women's Pavilion, in cooperation with "Cartier", a remarkable presence and great interaction with messages. Artistic and humanitarian directed by the participating artists.

Five female artists and bands performed, and the creators came together at the global event to build unity and awareness on gender equality and women's empowerment.

The ceremony was opened by Dina Al-Wadidi, the Egyptian singer, composer, guitarist and tambourine, where she excelled in performing her quiet songs at other times and loud at other times.

The stage was performed by "Liz Amazons Dafrik", a creative force that embraces women's voices from all over Africa, united by gentle harmony.

The band was founded in 2014 by superstars and social change activists: Mamani Keita, Omo Sangari and Maryam Doumbia.

Since then, the group has expanded to include many female artists from all over Africa, with a membership of 27 singers.

The members of the band addressed their speech to the women: “Today we are here at (Expo 2020 Dubai) to say but, enjoy your life, be strong, communicate with your feelings, and say what you want.

Never conceal your feelings, for concealment may kill its owner.

You have to defend your rights, and take care of yourself, because no one will do this task but you.”

The theater also hosted the Lebanese singer Tania Saleh, blending traditional Lebanese sounds with their own modern touch.

The Egyptian singer Natasha Atlas took the stage, to delight the audience with her melodious voice.

“Festivals like this are important to empowering and supporting women in their cause,” she said.

The evening was concluded by Souad Massi, the Algerian singer and songwriter, with her velvet voice, expressing with her songs the strength and toughness of women, their right to demand their rights, and to prove themselves.
