Anders Tegnell is leaving his position as state epidemiologist and head of department at the Swedish Public Health Agency, FHM announced in a press release on Wednesday. The new state epidemiologist will be Anders Lindblom, who was previously an infection control doctor in the Dalarna Region.
Tegnell instead goes to a job at the WHO in Geneva to work with the global vaccination effort, FHM further states.
Anders Lindblom left his job as an infection control doctor in the Dalarna Region in October last year for a new job at the Swedish Public Health Agency.
Today he works at the department of infection control and health protection.
