17 families who had to be evacuated after the explosion of a building in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis) this Friday morning had still not found accommodation on Tuesday.

They are the occupants of the eight apartments located in the destroyed building as well as nine families living in the adjoining building.

The latter was weakened by the detonation, indicates Actu Seine-Saint-Denis.

Insurance and the City mobilized

Those affected are currently living in a hotel.

The owners of the homes destroyed by the explosion called on their insurance after the site was the subject of a danger order, the municipality said.

The inhabitants of the building next door were taken care of by the Office Public d'Habitat d'Aubervilliers, to which the building belongs.

The City assured that it is looking for solutions adapted to each affected household.

The three residents seriously injured in the explosion are now out of danger.

The site is off-limits to the public and has been secured to prevent thefts from accommodation.
