The County Administrative Board of Västmanland together with the Swedish Migration Agency and the municipalities in the county are fully considering right now what problems will need to be solved when the war refugees come to Västmanland.
- In this situation that we are in now that people are starting to come from Ukraine to Sweden, it is the Swedish Migration Board that has the operational role and the county administrative board the coordinated role, says Andreas Hornwall.
"Do not sit and wait"
But after two major forest fires, the refugee situation in 2015 and most recently the pandemic management, Andreas Hornwall at the County Administrative Board in Västmanland believes that there are lots of lessons about crisis management that the county will benefit from this time.
- To be proactive, not to sit and wait for misery to occur without being prepared, says Andreas Hornwall.
