Since the beginning of the war until 6 pm on Tuesday, 3,500 Ukrainians have sought asylum in Sweden.

Of these, 900 have received help from the Swedish Migration Board to find housing.

But not everyone who arrives is visible in the statistics, as they do not have to seek asylum to stay in the country.

- Today alone, more than 2,000 people have come here, says the Swedish Migration Agency's director general Mikael Ribbenvik.

Employees at the Swedish Migration Agency have testified that there is a lack of housing, and the authority believes that help will be needed not only from the municipalities, but also from all Swedes who can and want to.

- This will be an issue for the whole of Sweden.

Here we need support and help from everyone who wants to help, including private individuals.

Is there a limit to how many Sweden will be able to receive?

- We accept those who come to Sweden.

If the conflict is long-lasting, sports halls will not be suitable as housing.

And 83% of those who come are women and children, children who need to go to school.

This was a huge challenge last time, I hope this time we can distribute better over Sweden's surface.
