Visiting Poissy for his first trip as a candidate, Emmanuel Macron announced Monday evening new government aid in order in particular to deal with soaring fuel prices.

The Head of State who is embarking on his campaign has decided to go on the offensive on the issue of purchasing power.

Emmanuel Macron was Monday evening in Poissy for his first campaign trip.

A meeting with about 200 inhabitants for this entry into the arena.

For a little over 1h30 of exchange and despite the international context, the Head of State tried to put on the candidate's costume by making his first announcements.

Starting with the abolition of the audiovisual license fee.

A proposal already formulated by Valérie Pécresse, Éric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen.

Emmanuel Macron's turn to take it back on his own.

"We will remove taxes that remain and the TV license is part of it. It's about 137 euros, and its removal is consistent with the housing tax. We have to go to the end," he said.

Purchasing power at the center of its displacement

Because it is on the theme of purchasing power that the candidate goes on the offensive.

"Purchasing power is higher over this five-year period than the ten years that preceded it", he recalled.

The president-candidate also made the promise of a tripling of the Macron bonus which allows companies to pay up to 1,000 euros without charge or tax.

Or even the establishment of a food check for households in need.

"There, for once, it's the candidate who speaks to you," he asked.

But it is more in the costume of head of state that Emmanuel Macron announced new imminent aid to cope with rising fuel prices.

"There will be an additional measure on the petrol part, which the government is in the process of finishing. Families for whom there are constrained expenses and who have to take the car - because it is not public transport that will do it- will be accompanied. It will be necessary to compensate for part of the cost and a large part of the increase."

The checkbook is therefore out, for a presidential campaign hit by the war in Ukraine and its consequences.
