40 cheeseburgers in one fell swoop: an unnamed resident of Frankfurt placed the largest single order with the Wolt delivery service last year.

But even the average customer of the Finnish company, who has been active in Frankfurt since the beginning of 2021 and now has around 500 employees, likes meatballs wrapped in bread rolls.

In all parts of the city, burgers are by far the most common dish ordered from fast food couriers on bicycles.

According to Wolt, however, the traditional beef meatballs are less and less in demand, but more and more vegetarian or vegan variants.

Beyond the burgers, however, the culinary preferences in the districts differ, as a balance sheet presented by Wolt for the past year shows.

Accordingly, people in the Westend, Ostend, Sachsenhausen and Gallusviertel order the second most frequently dishes from Indian cuisine.

In the city center, in Bornheim and Bockenheim, on the other hand, Italian dishes, i.e. pizza and pasta, are more in demand.

Wolt often delivers Vietnamese food to the Nordend, while sushi only makes it onto the list of the three most popular turbo dishes in Ostend and Sachsenhausen.

The most diligent Frankfurt Wolt customer placed 508 orders last year.

And the most expensive item on the Wolt app in Frankfurt, at 369 euros, was much less popular than burgers: a bottle of Antinori Silaia, a red Tuscany wine from 2010.
