It was belatedly known that the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission recognized the former secretary of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Secretariat A, who reported the suspicion of 'excessive action' by the spouse of the Democratic Party's presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung, Kim Hye-kyung, as a public interest reporter.

According to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission today (8th), Mr. A was recognized as a public interest reporter after a legal review by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and has been under police protection since the middle of last month.

On the 8th of last month, Mr. A filed a public interest report and a public interest whistleblower protection application for Mr.

Accordingly, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission checked the facts, reviewed whether the status of a public interest whistleblower was recognized and whether or not to take personal protection measures accordingly, and then recognized Mr. A as a public interest whistleblower and took personal protection measures.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission may take personal protective measures against the whistleblower through the police station when a request for protective measures is received and the reporter has suffered or is likely to suffer serious harm to life or body due to the report.
