(Two Sessions Express) Yang Liwei: China Space Station has reserved cabin-level international cooperation resources

China News Agency, Beijing, March 7th (Ma Shuisha) Yang Liwei, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy chief designer of China's manned space project, said in an interview with the media recently that the entry of ordinary people into the Chinese space station is not a technical problem, but mainly depends on demand. , Some countries have put forward applications for astronaut joint flight, and China has also reserved resources for international cooperation in engineering, ranging from small experiments to large module-level cooperation, China's manned spaceflight is open to different countries and institutions.

Yang Liwei said that the on-orbit rotation of the Shenzhou 14 and Shenzhou 15 astronauts is a verification of the space station's carrying capacity.

After the completion of the Chinese space station, the on-orbit residence time of astronauts will be designed according to the needs. Currently, according to international practice, half a year is a normalized residence period. In the future, according to the needs of work and experiments, the on-orbit time may be extended.

In order to ensure the astronauts' long-term life in orbit, Yang Liwei said that in terms of diet, the types of food will be adjusted according to the astronauts' personal tastes and flight duration.

Regarding whether ordinary people can enter the space station in the future, Yang Liwei pointed out that it is not a technical problem, but mainly depends on demand.

"As long as there is demand and resources allow, this is not a very long-term issue."

Regarding the selection of astronauts, Yang Liwei said that a group of astronauts will be selected at certain intervals according to the mission requirements. Currently, the selection of the next batch of astronauts is under consideration, not only to increase fresh blood, but also to form a good knowledge structure and age batches, enabling a virtuous cycle to meet mission demands.

He also pointed out that astronauts of different natures have different training times. For example, it may take about three and a half years for pilots, and about two and a half years for payload experts. According to the needs of different types of work, corresponding training programs should be formulated.

Yang Liwei said that China's space station has considered international cooperation at the beginning of its design, and now many countries have put forward applications to China for training astronauts and joint flights.

China has also reserved resources for international cooperation in engineering, ranging from small experiments to large-scale cooperation at the cabin level, and reserved rendezvous interfaces to serve future international cooperation.

"Our country's manned spaceflight is open to different countries and institutions." Yang Liwei said that China has carried out a number of space science experimental cooperation projects with foreign companies, and there will be other experimental cooperation in the future, and even will There are foreign astronauts flying together.
