The Swedish Motorsport Association has previously had a 50% ownership in Rally Sweden.

Since it became clear this spring that the rally will move from Värmland to Umeå to secure the snow supply, Uvåns Näringslivscenter in Hagfors has wanted to sell its shares in the company - as the local anchorage no longer exists.

- Now that the rally has moved to Umeå, it is natural that our partner Uvån, based in Värmland, leaves.

We thank them for a nice and successful collaboration, says Anna Nordkvist, Secretary General of the Swedish Motorsport Association in a press release.

Sales do not affect the rally's organization and work is underway to develop the competition to the same level as the Finnish World Rally Championship.

- Rally Sweden is the crown jewel of Swedish motorsport and is important for our sport to keep in Sweden, says union president Roger Engström.
