Sentences of 7 to 14 years in prison were requested on Monday against the three defendants present in the box at the trial of the assassination of Father Hamel in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, the prosecution considering that their "guilt " was "perfectly established".

The two Advocates General also requested "the maximum sentence", i.e. life imprisonment with a 22-year security sentence, against the propagandist of the Islamic State organization Rachid Kassim, "undeniable instigator of this attack", presumed dead in Iraq in 2017.
