- The purpose is to ensure a total application of the sanction system and that law enforcement agencies can receive information for further action.

The companies affected must also be able to draw attention to the sanctions regime, says Anna Hallberg.

Foreign Trade Minister Anna Hallberg also says that Sweden's direct economic vulnerability is limited, but that the country will be indirectly affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

- We are already seeing turbulent capital markets, higher energy prices, higher food prices and longer growth in the rest of the world.

All this will affect Sweden.

Everyone leaves

Individual companies are also affected by the war, according to the minister, who says that there are about 500 Swedish companies, of which about 20 are large companies, with operations in Russia.

"Virtually all large Swedish companies, and also many medium-sized ones, have announced that they are leaving the Russian market, or that they are stopping their exports to the country," she says.

The situation means that companies are requesting support in several areas.

These include concerns for employees in both Ukraine and Russia, as well as guidance on how to handle sanctions and close down operations, according to Hallberg.

Russian connection

She says that the Swedish Board of Trade has now been given the task of informing and guiding the companies.

Each company must identify any Russian connection to supplies, goods and business.

You need to review your payment flows, says Hallberg.
