The RT journalist recalled that the Ukrainian side considers it unacceptable to discuss the topics of Crimea and the recognition of the DPR and LPR in the negotiations.

“I would not like to comment on what the Ukrainian side says during the negotiations and after them.

We agreed not to make it public.

But,

according to them, it is “virtually” impossible,” Medinsky said.

According to him, there is a big difference between the words "completely impossible" and "virtually impossible".

“Both issues are of paramount importance for Russia, for the Russians, and, of course, for the position of our delegation.

I hope that sooner or later we will find a solution," Medinsky added.

Earlier, he said that the expectations of the Russian side from negotiations with Ukraine did not materialize.

On March 7, the third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine ended in the Brest region of Belarus.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014: the majority of residents voted for reunification with Russia.
