"Union Fortress 8" show dazzles the masses
Defenders of the Nation fly the flags of pride at "Expo Dubai"

The "Union Fortress 8" show, which was held south of the "Expo 2020 Dubai" site, dazzled the audiences who followed it over the past two days, as large numbers of visitors gathered to watch the live performances presented by "Hama Al Watan".
The UAE Armed Forces implemented the show, which coincides with the UAE's fiftieth anniversary celebrations.
Celebrations on this occasion began at Expo 2020 Dubai, the day before yesterday, as the site of the international event witnessed a procession that passed through Al Ghaf Street at the site of the international exhibition.
The exhibition activities continued south of the "Expo 2020 Dubai" site yesterday, amid a remarkable attendance of visitors to the international exhibition.
The Armed Forces and the Presidential Guard, in cooperation with the Dubai Police, presented live performances within imaginary scenarios of combat missions that showed the extent of skill and professionalism enjoyed by members of the armed forces in its various branches and main units, the Presidential Guard and the police force in addressing the various tasks assigned to them in the most difficult circumstances and within the most complex situations.
"Union Fortress 8" included a review of the high efficiency of members of the armed forces and the presidential guard in dealing with security and terrorist threats with the highest degree of professionalism, coordination and integration of roles.
The performances demonstrated the high combat efficiency of the female component who participated in the event, as a group of female soldiers from the Women's Rapid Intervention Team carried out airdrops from a Black Hawk helicopter, as well as the role of female Presidential Guard female soldiers in confronting a group of terrorist elements and participating in purifying one of the Buildings and surroundings from hostile elements.
The show also highlighted the high readiness of the Dubai Police, which participated alongside the Armed Forces and the Presidential Guard in presenting the imaginary show.
The show was organized south of the "Expo Dubai" site yesterday, amid a remarkable presence.
