The reporter interviewed Yang Liwei, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy chief designer of China's manned space project.
Yang Liwei said that the Shenzhou 13 astronaut crew entered space in October last year and is currently in good condition.
"The three astronauts of Shenzhou 13 have been flying for more than four months, and they will return in mid-April. The construction of our entire manned space station is divided into two stages, and it is still in the first stage, called the verification stage. As the Shenzhou 13 mission is about to be completed, the verification phase will also be completed."
According to reports, after Shenzhou 13 returns, ground researchers will verify and evaluate the core module of the space station.
After the evaluation is completed, Shenzhou 14, Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft and two cargo spacecraft, as well as Wentian and Mengtian experimental modules will continue to complete the next work, and finally form a T-shaped configuration of the space station.
Yang Liwei said that at present, the core module of the space station is running smoothly, meeting expectations.
"There are 6 launch missions this year. Before the end of the year, according to the normal engineering advancement speed, the space station will be completed. After Shenzhou 13 returns, when Shenzhou 14 starts, it will reach the construction stage of the space station, through these two The space station will be built in the phase of work. At present, the work of the core module of the space station in space is relatively stable as a whole and has achieved the expected purpose. The work of the entire project verification phase is currently progressing relatively well.”
The selection of astronauts has always attracted much attention. Before that, most of our astronauts came from the Air Force.
It is understood that technical experts will also enter the space station in the future.
According to the white paper "2021 China's Aerospace", during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country will cultivate and develop space tourism.
Yang Liwei said that ordinary people may visit the space station during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, because commercial aerospace is also a major trend in the development of the entire aerospace industry.
In terms of engineering, we also hope that more companies of different natures can participate, which is a good boost to the development of the entire industry.
From this point of view, there will be no problem for ordinary people to enter the space station in the future.
As long as there is such demand and our resources allow, this should not be a long-term problem.
In the "15th Five-Year Plan" or possibly within ten years, it is not a technical issue, it mainly depends on the demand.
