“A ceasefire needs to be established in Ukraine to allow civilians to safely leave Mariupol, Kharkiv and Sumy,” Guterres wrote on his Twitter account.
Earlier, the People's Militia of the DPR stated that militants from the Azov national battalion shot down a column of civilians who were trying to leave Mariupol along the humanitarian corridor in the direction of Novoazovsk.
According to preliminary data, two civilians were killed, four more were injured.
