"As of today (Saturday, editor's note), the Prada group is suspending retail sales activities in Russia," he said in this press release published on Saturday on its LinkedIn site.
"Our main concern is for our colleagues and their families affected by the tragedy in Ukraine and to whom we will continue to guarantee our support," Prada added in its brief statement, adding that the group "will continue to monitor developments" in the conflict.
Prada is thus following in the footsteps of other big names in luxury and fashion, such as the French groups Hermès, Chanel, LVMH or Kering, which have already suspended their sales in Russia.
