I hope that in the future, more Taiwanese youth will pursue their dreams in the mainland and realize their dreams." Guangxi Normal University Politics and Public Affairs Wang Mengjun, a Taiwanese teacher at the School of Management, said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency recently.

  A few days ago, the All-China Women's Federation decided to award 300 people the title of "2021 National March 8th Red Banner Bearer", and Wang Mengjun was on the list.

  In recent years, with the continuous implementation of policies and measures to benefit Taiwan and the people, Taiwanese teacher Wang Mengjun graduated from Taiwan's Tunghai University with a doctorate in 2017 and came to teach at Guangxi Normal University, becoming the first Taiwanese compatriot in Guangxi to be included in the career system.

  In the past five years, Wang Mengjun has gradually integrated into the local life. In addition to teaching, she actively participated in cross-strait exchange activities, and devoted herself to local services such as rural revitalization, epidemic prevention and assistance, and civilized city creation.

In March 2019, Wang Mengjun was awarded the honorary title of "Guangxi March 8 Red Banner Bearer"; in April 2020, he was awarded the 23rd "Guangxi Youth May Fourth Medal".

  "I have come to teach in the mainland for five years, and I still feel that it was the most correct decision for me. During my teaching career at Guangxi Normal University, I have learned a lot and grown a lot." Wang Mengjun said that Guilin is the starting point for her to understand the mainland and expand her horizons. , she likes life in Guilin very much.

  In order to have a deeper understanding of Guangxi and make up for the short version, Wang Mengjun actively served as an instructor for students' summer social practice projects and clubs.

In 2019, the summer social practice project "Exploration of Tourism Targeted Poverty Alleviation in Minority Areas from the Perspective of Collaborative Governance - Taking Three Towns in Longsheng Autonomous County of Guangxi Guilin as an Example" won the third prize of the school-level outstanding achievement award (research category). Awarded the Outstanding Instructor.

  In 2020, Wang Mengjun participated in the co-directed summer practice project "Employment Analysis and Countermeasure Research of College Graduates under the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic - Taking Guilin Colleges as an Example", which was approved at the autonomous region level.

Wang Mengjun's diligent teaching attitude and scientific teaching methods are well recognized by students and won the honorary title of "Excellent Teacher" of the college in 2020.

  "I think it's not so much that I came to Guangxi Normal University to be a teacher, but that I have become a happy student to some extent here." Wang Mengjun said that the school's leaders, colleagues and students helped her integrate into the local social life. .

  Wang Mengjun suggested that Taiwanese youths should go to the mainland if they have the opportunity.

Young Taiwanese graduating this year can choose to study in the mainland for postgraduate studies, and some young scholars who have graduated with doctoral degrees in Taiwan can choose to teach in the mainland.

  "The current epidemic prevention and control in the mainland of the motherland is doing very well. We do not have too many restrictions on travel. Don't give up the opportunity to travel to the mainland because of the epidemic, and come here to pursue our dreams. My work experience in the past five years is The best example. This place not only brings me happy memories, but also gives me a lot of space to improve my work ability." Wang Mengjun said.

  Wang Mengjun said that Taiwan's colleges and universities can choose from more than 100 colleges, and there may be dozens of vacancies, but in the mainland, there are thousands of colleges and universities to choose from.

In the same industry, there are only a few companies or few employment opportunities in Taiwan, but in the mainland, there will be a large scope and market.

Whether you come to the mainland to study or teach, or to invest and start a business in the mainland, you will have several times more resources and development opportunities than in Taiwan.
