China Taiwan Net, March 5th In recent years, with the global promotion of baseball, the number of participating youth groups has been increasing, and baseball has also become one of the bridges for youth exchanges in various places.

This year's two sessions, Lin Na, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the vice chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee of the Taiwan League, brought a proposal on using baseball as a medium to deepen the integration and exchange of young people from both sides of the strait.

At present, in Shenzhen, there are more than 40 schools in 7 districts that carry out baseball games. There are about 20,000 students participating in baseball special training and campus general training, and more than 2,000 registered baseball players.

In Taiwan, baseball has a higher penetration rate, higher participation, and stronger radiation.

At present, the Cross-Strait Student Baseball League has become the largest single sports exchange event between the two sides. Shenzhen is the designated host city for the Cross-Strait Student Baseball League Finals, and has successfully held three consecutive Sea Baseball Finals series events.

As an important platform and brand project for exchanges with Taiwan, the sea baseball game has been continuously selected as one of the "Top Ten News of Cross-Strait Relations" and "Top Ten News of Cross-Strait Exchanges".

Over the past three years, nearly 3,000 athletes and referees from 116 student baseball teams from both sides of the Taiwan Strait have participated in the series of events in the finals.

Students from both sides of the strait have established a deep friendship through the sea baseball competition, established a circle of friends across the strait, and become "Bangbang friends".

How to further use baseball as a medium to deepen the integration and exchange of youth from both sides of the Taiwan Strait?

Lin Na suggested that Shenzhen should seize the important opportunity of "dual district" construction, take the lead in building a "National Baseball City" step by step, create a resounding new business card for the city, and build a bridge for the exchange and integration of young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait with "Bangbang Sports, Bang Bang events" .

Taking the Shenzhen-Taiwan youth baseball exchange activities as an example, Lin Na believes that it is necessary to use baseball as the medium and students as the main body to enhance friendship and learn skills through baseball, promote a deeper understanding of young people on both sides of the strait, and enhance their recognition of Chinese culture. feel.

At the same time, actively introduce Taiwan baseball talents to Shenzhen for development, and promote the "accelerated" development of Shenzhen baseball.
