European Union (EU) summit President Charles Michel said closing Ukraine's airspace would lead to a world war.

Michelle appeared on Interrene Radio in France and said that in such a case, it would be considered NATO intervening in the war and would risk leading to World War III.

Ukraine has asked the West, including NATO member states, to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine, but NATO has rejected it because Ukraine is not a member state.

After observing Russian President Vladimir Putin over the past few months, Michelle has diagnosed that he misses the empire of his past and still seems to think the Cold War is not over.

However, he emphasized that the EU's DNA is to not let the dialogue go under any circumstances, and that the EU must maintain diplomatic channels with Russia, even in the short term.

Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in an interview with US CNN that it is necessary to investigate whether Russia has committed war crimes.
