Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said in his government work report to the Fifth Session of the 13th National People's Congress on the 5th that it is necessary to fully implement the party's policy on overseas Chinese affairs and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese.
Li Keqiang pointed out that we must uphold and improve the system of regional ethnic autonomy, with the main line of forging a sense of community of the Chinese nation, promoting exchanges and integration of various ethnic groups, and accelerating the pace of modernization in ethnic areas.
Adhere to the party's basic policy of religious work, adhere to the direction of sinicization of Chinese religion, and actively guide religion to adapt to socialist society.
Li Keqiang pointed out that the party's policy on overseas Chinese affairs should be fully implemented, the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese and their relatives of returned overseas Chinese should be protected, and Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad should be encouraged to join hands to create brilliant future.
