The skating competitions in Luleå ended with the biggest challenges of all, a skating race that has not been run in 25 years.

The competitions in Luleå on Saturday were launched as the alternative "Eleven cities marathon".

"Not everyone can do it"

Ronald Kraur won the men's competition and he nevertheless looked surprisingly alert and happy afterwards.

- It was nice weather and nice ice, but of course, it's about skating for six hours.

And the representative of the Dutch Skating Federation, Richard Van Kempen, was pleased that the race could be run.

- This has been an ice classic in Holland.

It has not been possible to drive more than 200 kilometers for men and 150 kilometers for women, but it is necessary to be really well trained to be able to do that, he said.
