SVT has been in contact with several grocery stores in Uppsala that testify that consumers buy dry goods to a greater extent.

Something that is believed to be related to the war in Ukraine and the current security situation in Europe right now.

- All foods that are on the crisis list, such as canned food, are consumed to a greater extent.

At the same time, I want to emphasize that there is no point in stressing yourself: If the goods are out of stock, they are still with our wholesalers, says Annika Tuvesson, one of the store managers we spoke to.

From the National Food Administration's side, they want to urge calm and not to buy canned food, oil, crispbread and other "crisis food" in excessive quantities.

- Buy a little at a time and gradually build up a store if you do not already have one.

In this way, it does not have to run out of stock on the store shelves at the same time as you do not get the same expiry date on all your goods, says Per Aleljung.
