They met through language.
As an SFI teacher, Stefan Andersson has written textbooks in Swedish, which the language teacher Alla Bidniuk used at the University of Lviv.
They have never really met, but soon Alla and her three-year-old daughter Estella move into the four-room apartment at Stefan in Växjö.
Prior to their arrival, Stefan has picked up his own grandchildren's toys, and got hold of a women's bicycle that his colleague can use.
- She has a children's bicycle with her.
And I thought that the daughter can not use it if she does not have a bike.
So I wrote a Facebook post and got a lot of response, and a bike, says Stefan Andersson.
The man left
On Friday, the Ukrainian family had gone to Warsaw.
But the father had to stay in Ukraine, because all men between the ages of 18-60 were forbidden to leave Ukraine.
- The man bought a bus ticket to them and said "now you go".
And I think it was great, says Stefan Andersson.
How long will they stay with you?
- No clue.
