It was Member of Parliament Yasmine Bladelius (S) from Helsingborg who asked the question to the Minister of Social Affairs, after SVT Nyheter Helsingborg's report on the home care service in the city.

She read out an excerpt from an existing minute schedule from Helsingborg: "

"Lubricate the feet, put on support socks - three minutes".

Ministerial criticism of minute schedules

- In addition, the home care service at that time must have time to enter the elderly person's home, health, make the elderly person ready for the change, and after the intervention go again and leave the elderly person in a good and cozy condition.

The assistant nurses are being reduced to robots, said Yasmine Bladelius.

Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren responded by directing sharp criticism at minute schedules.

- Impossible, unreasonable, unworthy.

The union works with a list of requirements

The municipal union in Helsingborg is happy about the minister's support.

- Great fun, says work environment representative Thomas Olofsson.

The union is now working to compile requirements and issues to be addressed to the health and care administration to improve working conditions.

Quality follow-up in progress

One point is about having time set aside in the schedule for the journey between the care recipients, another about a better opportunity to be able to influence the time for the various interventions.

Lars Thunberg (KD) is chairman of the care and welfare committee.

He says that a quality follow-up is now planned in home care.

- I am fully aware that there are shortcomings in the home care service, even though it looks different in different units, he says.
