In “The Wizard of Oz”, a film by Victor Fleming (1889-1949) released in 1939, young Dorothy, played by Judy Garland (1922-1969), wears a little blue Vichy dress.
When it was thought lost, this costume was found in 2021 in a forgotten shoebox at the Catholic University of Washington.
If the dress is authenticated, it could be worth its weight in gold since another dress worn by Judy Garland in the film sold for $1.5 million in 2015!
