Three dogs, living in deplorable conditions in a Traveler camp in Domont (Val-d'Oise), were rescued on February 16.
They were cared for by the SPA and legal proceedings were initiated against their owners, reports

A lack of care
It was following a report that the Domont gendarmes went to the scene.
Supported by municipal police officers from Bouffémont-Moisselles-Attainville and three agents from the Humane Society of Animals, they discovered the dogs on a vacant lot in the middle of the garbage, without water or food, a soldier told the weekly.

The dogs were also tied to a post with a rope that was too short.
If they didn't appear injured or malnourished, they were visibly lacking in care.
After being identified by the gendarmes, the owners had to hand over their dogs to the SPA.
They were not arrested but legal proceedings were initiated against them.
