In Motala municipality, there is an increase from last week in the number of calls.

The municipality has received questions directly to the exchange, social media and by email.

- There are about twenty who heard from the switchboard and reception this week.

Those who hear from us are worried and then we must try to calm them down, says Sofia Löf, communications manager at Motala municipality.

How is the anxiety expressed?

- It's mainly conversations about shelters and hoarse Fredrik.

We will go out with clear information about hesa Fredrik which is heard on Monday at three o'clock.

Many want to help

Thoughts are also received by the municipality of Valdemarsvik.

They have noticed that many want to help the Ukrainian people.

- Residents hear that they have a room or a room to lend, says Karl Öhlander, municipal director.

The issue of shelters is also relevant, he says.

In Valdemarsvik, they have two shelters in municipal properties.

Wondering about shelters

Maria Karlsson, unit manager at Mjölby municipality, describes that many of those who call want to help and that the residents have responded to the events kindly.

She believes that concern is indirectly expressed by people coming up with questions about shelters.

- Together we look at MSB and refer to their map of shelters.

Do you see a challenge in answering the municipality's residents in these questions?

 - We have received good support from our security department.

In the conversations, we refer to existing organizations.

Among other things, the Red Cross.

There are many who want to help and we have chosen to refer to established businesses, we need to know that they are real organizations.
