China News Service, March 3. According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, the Fiji government recently listed China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) as its "travel partner", and listed Sinopharm (Beijing Bio) and Kexing Vaccines. Inclusion in the list of approved vaccines has changed the entry policy for Chinese citizens to come to Fiji.

The relevant matters are reminded as follows:

  1. The global new crown epidemic situation is still severe, and the risk of infection in international travel remains high. The Chinese Embassy in Fiji once again reminds compatriots in Fiji that "it is not urgent, non-essential, and not traveling."

  2. Chinese citizens who really need to leave China to come to Fiji do not need to apply for an entry permit in advance. They can enter Fiji with a valid Fiji work visa, residence permit, etc.; they can also enter Fiji with a Chinese passport valid for more than 6 months and a joint (return) ticket , the stay shall not exceed 30 days.

  3. Proof of vaccination.

All travelers must carry and present proof of vaccinations that are more than 14 days old when the full dose has been administered.

A vaccine waiver may apply to travelers under the age of 18, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who has completed a full dose of the vaccine.

Passengers under the age of 18 who have completed a full dose of the vaccine may travel alone, subject to all international travel regulations.

The vaccines mentioned above are limited to those approved by the Fiji government.

  4. A negative nucleic acid test certificate.

Before leaving China to come to Fiji: Persons aged 12 and above must take a PCR nucleic acid test within 2 days before boarding or a rapid antigen test within 24 hours before boarding, obtain a negative test report in English and carry it with them.

Bring proof of a minimum 3 nights prepaid stay at a Care Fiji Commitment (CFC) certified hotel or resort that includes CFC certified airport transfers.

All non-Fiji passport holders are required to purchase medical travel insurance covering COVID-19 before going to Fiji. If the existing insurance does not cover this type of insurance, Fiji Care COVID-19 travel insurance can be purchased.

  5. The current routine route to Fiji.

From China, you can come to Fiji via Auckland, Sydney and other places, and you must apply for a transit visa.

Among them, Auckland is not allowed to go out of the airport, and you must purchase a connecting ticket; Sydney can go out of the airport, but if you do not buy a connecting ticket, you will be required to do a nucleic acid test before boarding the plane from Sydney to Lai Fei.

After May this year, it may be possible to transit through Hong Kong to come to Fiji, depending on the resumption of the Hong Kong-Nadi (Fiji) flight.

  6. After arriving in Fiji: Stay at the previously booked (CFC) certified hotel for at least 3 nights, during which time you can go to the Safe Travel Area (STA) and participate in CFC-approved activities.

Under normal circumstances, on the second night of arrival in Fiji, the hotel will receive a rapid antigen test at the hotel, and the cost will be borne by yourself.

During their stay in Fiji, they must comply with government public health measures, including wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
