The Béziers criminal court sentenced a national education employee and a nurse to a six-month suspended prison sentence, respectively for fraud and complicity in fraud.
The health professional had pretended to administer a dose of vaccine against the coronavirus.
But if the deception had worked during the appointment for the first dose on June 23, the presence of a frame in the cubicle, on August 3, had prevented it from repeating during the so-called second dose.
The nurse may continue to practice her profession
The vaccination center had been warned of the scheme "following an anonymous telephone call to the vaccination center warning that the man was bragging about it to those around him", explains the public prosecutor, Raphaël Balland.
Not having confidence in vaccines, the man nevertheless needed them to validate his vaccination pass, necessary for his musical activities outside his job at National Education.
During the investigation, the nurse for her part explained that she only acted on this occasion for this person whom she also knew.
The prosecution had requested bans on practicing their profession, which were not pronounced.
On the other hand, the court did not grant their request for exemption from the registration of these convictions in their criminal records.
