As Russia's military invasion of Ukraine continues, the EU-European Union has agreed to strengthen support such as allowing employment and schooling, assuming that the evacuation life of those who have fled to the region will be prolonged.

The EU held an Interior Ministers' Meeting in Brussels, Belgium on the 3rd to discuss how to deal with people evacuating from Ukraine to the EU.

"Europe has already accepted about one million people who have fled Ukraine, and more will flee," EU Commissioner Johansson said in a press conference after the meeting.

He also stated that each country had agreed to apply special measures to strengthen support, assuming that the evacuation life would be prolonged.

Specifically, Ukrainian nationals can, in principle, stay in the EU without a visa within 90 days, but this measure will allow them to stay for more than 90 days, as well as work and school. You will be recognized and will be able to receive medical treatment.

The application period is one year, and it can be extended.

According to the EU, this measure was introduced in 2001, but this is the first time it has actually been applied.
