'El Pantoja', arrested in an operation against drug trafficking in Cádiz

The Civil Guard has arrested almost thirty people in an operation against a network of drug traffickers led by

, one of the main "capos" of hashish trafficking in Campo de Gibraltar, who has also been arrested .

Some 300 Civil Guard agents have been deployed at six in the morning to dismantle a new branch of the organization led by Pantoja, whose clan is based in

, but which now operated in the region of La Janda to introduce hashish by the Cadiz coast.

to this network, the raid this Wednesday, in which they have carried out 39 searches in real estate in the province, mostly in the region of La Janda: ten in Chiclana , eight in Medina Sidonia, five in Barbate and thirteen in Vejer de la Frontera, where Pantoja's "lieutenant" has been arrested.

There have also been three other searches in Algeciras, in one of which Jesús Heredia, el Pantoja, has been arrested again, who was on provisional release and has been taken to the dungeons of the Cádiz Civil Guard Command.

In the records, two firearms, 170,000 euros, six boats and eight vehicles, as well as gasoline bottles, have been seized.

The operation, in which agents from the police stations of Cádiz and Algeciras, as well as the Coordination Body against Drug Trafficking (OCON-Sur), the Regional Center for Analysis and Intelligence against Drug Trafficking (CRAIN), the Action Group Rapid (GAR) and the Reserve and Security Group (GRS) of the Civil Guard, due to an investigation coordinated by the investigating court number 2 of Chiclana de la Frontera.
