The Yellow River is the mother river of our Chinese nation. Our sons and daughters who grew up on both sides of the Yellow River should love and care for the Yellow River.
This is my tenth year as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In nine of these ten years, I have put forward proposals on the Yellow River.
[Explanation] 17 "Yellow River Proposals" have been submitted to the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for 9 consecutive years. Wang Shuli, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, has recently been interviewed by a reporter from China News Agency and introduced that he was born and worked by the Yellow River. have deep feelings.
Over the years, he has surveyed 12,000 kilometers along the Yellow River, and has passed more than 20 cities and 30 counties in 9 provinces along the Yellow River.

Over the years, most of our proposals have been implemented. One of the things I feel most deeply is the relocation of people in the floodplain. There are hundreds of thousands of people in twenty-five counties in nine cities. A few years ago, I mentioned a concern about the masses in floodplains After receiving my proposal, the National Development and Reform Commission took it seriously and gave a subsidy of 70,000 yuan per person. Therefore, the relocation of our people in Shandong went very smoothly.
[Explanation] One of Wang Shuli's proposals this year is to advocate the establishment of a "multi-species biological germplasm resource bank in the mouth of the Yellow River".
Wang Shuli said that the Yellow River delta at the estuary of the Yellow River has 370 species of birds, 685 species of plants, and 512 species of insects. Species such as Dongying wild soybean, millet in the Yellow River floodplain, estuary willow, and tamarisk are all unique biological resources at the estuary of the Yellow River.

The Yellow River rushes from the ground. It carries the sediment in the upper reaches and also many species, such as cotton willow, red willow, apocynum, etc. In the past few years, the North China Plain was everywhere, but now It's less. It's not seen on the Yellow River and Sea Shock Plain, but it's everywhere in Dongying. This situation can't continue any longer.
[Explanation] Wang Shuli suggested to speed up the sorting out of the existing species resources in the Yellow River estuary, and make a corresponding list according to the degree of endangerment of the organisms; organize scientific research forces to conduct a census of biological species in the Yellow River Delta, and record the classification of the species seen during the inspection; please Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other scientific research institutions or universities formulate plans to implement relevant plans for the formulation of species resource banks.
[Explanation] In the past 9 years, Wang Shuli's proposals and suggestions have been adopted and absorbed, and some of them have become research topics for scholars.
Wang Shuli said: "Protecting the Yellow River is not a matter for me, nor for a generation. Although I am 71 years old, in the future, I will do my best to continue the work of protecting the Mother River."
