Russia expels America's ambassador and comments: Washington's rudeness left us no choice but to expel its diplomats

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it had expelled the US ambassador to Moscow, adding that the United States had left Moscow no choice but to expel US diplomats from Russia in response to the expulsion of a Russian employee from the United Nations Secretariat.

Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today, Wednesday, about the US action: “We have no intention of tolerating this and we say frankly that we will respond, and our response may be against the American quota of diplomatic presence in Moscow, which we are still determining taking into account the number of employees of our mission in New York. ".

And she continued, "We may expel American diplomats, and although we would have preferred not to resort to this step again, Washington's rudeness and its rejection of any agreement or its inability to do so, did not all leave us with any other option."

She added that Russia calls on the US side in this regard to "be reasonable and stop escalation."
