Karlstad is one of several cities in the country where the veterans are holding a demonstration tonight.
Everything is documented and will be sent to the Ukrainian Ambassador.
- This is not a counter-demonstration but a way to show that we support the people of Ukraine.
The veterans Värmland consist of people who have all done some type of service abroad ordered by the Swedish government.
"We are many who feel bad"
The association's chairman Steve Fogderud has been on eight missions and served abroad for ten years.
Among other things, he carries with him heavy memories from the Balkan War.
- We are a diverse group that has experienced a bit of everything in countries such as Bosnia, Kosovo, Congo and Lebanon.
We are many who feel very bad about this war and want to express our support, he says.
