After the Russian foreign minister spoke at the disarmament conference room of the UN Human Rights Committee, diplomats from around the world 'boycotted the group'.

Diplomats lined up to leave the meeting room after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov delivered a video speech at the high-level session of the UN Human Rights Committee's disarmament meeting in Geneva, Switzerland on the 1st local time, AFP news agency reported.

Foreign Minister Lavrov was originally scheduled to visit Switzerland and give a speech, but it is known that the speech was replaced by a pre-recorded video as the air route was blocked due to European Union sanctions against Russia.

In a speech on the same day, Foreign Minister Lavrov said, "The neo-Nazi behavior of the Ukrainian government continues under the acquiescence of arrogant countries such as the United States and Canada that claim to be leaders of democracy." made a statement.

He continued, "As we have always been, we will get stronger and will inevitably succeed."

In response to Minister Lavrov's remarks, 100 diplomats from 40 countries joined the boycott of 'group leave' in the sense of solidarity with Ukraine.

Local media reported that among the remaining participants after the group exit were the Russian ambassador to the UN in Geneva and representatives of China, Syria and Venezuela.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln said at the meeting that "Russia is a horrific human rights violation and causes enormous humanitarian suffering." It can be questioned,” he said, suggesting the possibility of Russia being stripped of its membership on the UN Human Rights Council.
