United States has said that there is no possibility of a nuclear war.

An incumbent Ukrainian lawmaker interviewed exclusively by SBS also said that Putin, who threatens nuclear weapons in Ukraine, close to Russia, appears to be in a panic.

White House has been keen all day analyzing the nuclear threat posed by Russia.  



White House press secretary Jen Saki said nuclear war cannot happen and the world is all taking steps to reduce this threat.



President Biden tweeted: "I reaffirm that Russia is ready to impose harsh penalties if it does not act to ease tensions."



He asserted that there was no risk of nuclear war.

Ukrainian lawmaker Lecia Vasilenko, who is still in the capital, Kiev, where a massive airstrike continues, also told SBS in an interview with Putin's nuclear weapons. He said the threat was evidence that he was in a panic.
