Espionage Ayuso charges Casado for trying to "destroy" her and asks to "expel" from the PP those who participated in the "campaign" against her
The press officer of the
Municipal Housing Company of Madrid (EMV)
, David Fernández, has submitted his resignation after revealing EL MUNDO that the municipal company proposed to a detective agency to spy on
Isabel Díaz Ayuso
's brother .
Fernández's resignation, announced by Cadena Ser, has been confirmed to this newspaper by
official sources from the Consistory
.
This is the second resignation due to the espionage plot after that of Ángel Carromero, former head of the Mayor's Office Coordination.
As this newspaper has been revealing, last December the Mira detective agency, owned by Julio Gutiez, received a
call from a municipal
EMV official to obtain an extract from the bank accounts of Tomás Díaz Ayuso as well as the declaration of the Treasury of the company Priviet Sportive, an entity that received a contract of 1.5 million from the Community of Madrid and that paid a commission of
at least 55,000 euros
.
The private investigator rejected the assignment and notified
Díaz Ayuso's team of what had happened
.
From then on, the Madrid president asked the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida, for explanations, who launched an
internal investigation
in which statements were taken from EMV workers, among whom Fernández himself was under suspicion. .
EL MUNDO has also revealed the recordings of the
conversations between the president of the EMV
and the detective held on January 11.
In them, Álvaro González admitted that he had been aware that an "order" had been made from the EMV "that would not correspond" with the municipal company.
The mayor of Madrid continues, however, and despite the two resignations from municipal positions, denying that any
espionage was ordered
from the Municipal Corporation.
