After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the first talks between the two sides were held for five hours.

Tensions were heightened when Russian President Putin pulled out a nuclear threat card, but it seems that the worst situation has been avoided for now, such as holding a second meeting soon.

The delegations of Russia and Ukraine, who had their first meeting for five hours, decided to continue negotiations at the second meeting soon.



The Ukrainian side is known to have demanded an immediate halt to the Russian attack and the withdrawal of its troops.



The two sides agreed to identify some agreementable agendas and discuss them in detail at the next meeting.



Ukrainian President Zelensky said that he would decide on a response plan after analyzing the contents of the meeting.



Earlier, on the eve of the summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave orders to strengthen the posture of the nuclear weapons unit.

At the UN Emergency Special Session, Ukraine strongly criticized Russia's nuclear threat.



Five days have passed since the invasion, but Russia is unable to take control of major Ukrainian cities, including the capital, Kyiv, due to a strong Ukraine counterattack.



The US government, however, expects Russia to have not run out of power yet and will be able to increase the intensity of its attacks immediately.
