His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the Cabinet meeting held at Expo 2020 Dubai in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Lt. In legislative affairs, the Cabinet approved, during its session, a draft amendment to the federal law regarding medical products, the pharmacy profession, and pharmaceutical facilities, in the context of encouraging and attracting investment projects in the health sector and supporting its global competitiveness, and working to expand the scope and areas of work of pharmaceutical facilities in the UAE, including It complies with the Companies Law by allowing establishments and companies owned entirely by foreigners in the country to contribute to the development and investment in this sector.

The Cabinet also approved an Emirati system to promote the principles of tolerance and coexistence in work environments in all agencies and institutions, whether in the governmental, local, private or semi-governmental sectors. and take advantage of it.

During its session, the Council approved a set of Emirati technical regulations in a number of production and service sectors. The move aims to harmonize and standardize legislation and standards with the Arab Gulf countries, enhance Gulf economic integration and investment opportunities, facilitate trade exchange between the state and various countries around the world, and increase and support diversity in import sources. From global markets, supporting the growth of national industries for priority consumer products in the industrial sector and enhancing their competitiveness.

In regulatory affairs, the Council of Ministers approved, at its meeting, the draft annual budget of the Emirates Investment Authority for the fiscal year 2022, and also approved the request of the Federal National Council to discuss the topic of “government policy in the matter of water security.”

In international relations, the Council adopted the decision to establish a state embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek, to join the Glasgow Leaders' Declaration on Forests and Land Use, and the Global Methane Pledge.
