Stupor Monday afternoon in Angers.

Around 5 p.m., a car traveling on the bank lane suddenly left the road and fell in Maine, near the Gaumont-Pathé cinema, Saint-Serge district.

Three people were on board: a man in his thirties and two children aged 5 and 8.

In the crash, the vehicle overturned.

Luckily, several witnesses, including police officers, attended the scene.

At least three people jumped into the water to help them, reports

The two children were extracted fairly quickly and are out of danger.

In shock, they were taken to hospital.

The driver was transported in serious condition to the University Hospital of Angers.

His vital prognosis was engaged.

An investigation has been opened to try to understand what could have happened.
