Russia's invasion of Ukraine causes Ukrainians to leave their country for neighboring countries.

Poland alone has received 320,000 refugees in a few days.

They are preparing to receive one million people.

- At border crossings to other countries such as Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, there are kilometer-long queues of people who are stuck and about to cross.

The flow of refugees is getting bigger and bigger, says Samir Abu Eid.

According to the UN refugee agency UNHCR, more than 520,000 people have fled Ukraine.

Another several hundred thousand are on the run within the country.

"Horrible nights in shelters"

Some Ukrainians have crossed the border on foot in sub-zero temperatures, but most by train.

With the help of outerwear, lights on the train are covered so as not to be detected.

- Yesterday an overcrowded train came in, it had taken 27 hours.

It was completely extinguished.

People are worried and afraid of what is happening in their home country.

They tell horrific stories about nights in shelters before they managed to escape, says Samir Abu Eid.

The people who went to Poland are now worried about the situation in their home country.

- The people we are talking to here fear that this will be really bloody that Russia and Putin will not give up, says Samir Abu Eid.
