It is difficult to get ambulance personnel inland in Västerbotten.
In Sorsele, Tärnaby and Dorotea, the ambulance is operated on a contract by PreMedic Ambulance.
Nurse Ann Forsyth travels up from Stockholm to work in Sorsele.
She does not want to directly compare her job with the relay doctor's even if the similarities are great and in a week's work she can work together a decent monthly salary.
Has an on-call service around the clock
- We are on call around the clock and get paid accordingly, but I'm not here for the money but more to get back to my roots, says Ann Forsyth who lived at her grandmother's house in Sorsele for some time when she was little.
- Then I love nature and the mentality up here.
People do not call the ambulance for the slightest nail pinch exactly, she says and laughs.
