In June 2021, the 86-year-old resident of an Ehpad DomusVi located in Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine) died after being attacked by another resident.

Today, his family wants explanations and questions the establishment, reports

Le Parisien

.

A roommate would be partly responsible for the death by asphyxiation of the resident.

On the day of the death, staff members had found him sitting on top of the victim, whom they were unable to resuscitate.

A complaint for "manslaughter"

Relatives of the octogenarian filed a complaint against X last November for "manslaughter", pointing to a lack of surveillance of the Ehpad.

Suffering from Alzheimer's and placed in a “protected living unit”, the victim nevertheless benefited from services billed at 4,500 euros per month, specifies the daily.

The investigation was entrusted to the brigade for the repression of delinquency against persons (BRDP).

It will have to determine whether or not the responsibility of the establishment should be engaged.

Asked by our colleagues, the director of the establishment made no comment.
